Local company stakes out spot in vaping industry

GAYLORD — Its product line provides an alternative to smoking, but a Gaylord company itself has lit up through the past several years when it comes to sales.
Purebacco is part of the vaping industry, which provides “e-liquids” — made up of varying amounts of nicotine, assorted flavorings and other ingredients — to be heated into an inhalable form in personal vaporizers, often penlike in shape. Established roughly five years ago, the company focused on the hardware side early but has shifted its attention to producing e-liquids, which have been sold with brand names such as FlavorZ. Purebacco’s name is a shorthand reference for a purified tobacco experience.
