The transnational criminal organizations which traffic in tobacco also smuggle narcotics and fund terrorism. These organizations are a threat to national security and American law enforcement and military personnel are engaged in work around the world stopping them. In response to the threat posed by these organizations, President Trump issued three Executive Orders,
- Presidential Executive Order on Preventing Violence Against Federal, State, Tribal, and Local Law Enforcement Officers
- Presidential Executive Order on a Task Force on Crime Reduction and Public Safety
- Presidential Executive Order on Enforcing Federal Law with Respect to Transnational Criminal Organizations and Preventing International Trafficking
