OIRA, the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, located in the White House Office of Management and Budget, has been instrumental in reducing the regulatory burden on the public, local and state governments, and small and large businesses. A centralized OIRA-type organization, if located in the European Community, could serve a comparable role in this important economic region. Furthermore, an OIRA-type organization could be useful in central governments outside the EC.

Since CRE personnel have been instrumental in the establishment of the US OIRA, this website is dedicated to expanding OIRA-type organizations to other countries with an initial emphasis on the European Community.
