Adolescents and Anti-Tobacco Posters Teenagers at high risk for smoking were more likely to say they would try a cigarette after seeing a gruesome picture of a tobacco-diseased mouth.

The finding, from a unique RAND experiment, calls into question a tactic often suggested as a way to counter Big Tobacco where it matters most, at the checkout stand.
