The Global Illicit Trade Environment Index

The Transnational Alliance to Combat Illicit Trade (TRACIT) and The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) have the pleasure to invite you to an Executive Briefing on the Global Illicit Trade Environment Index. The event will be kindly hosted by the Permanent Representation of Austria to the EU.

The Index evaluates 84 countries on their structural capability to guard against illicit trade, highlighting specific strengths and weaknesses.

The purpose of the Executive Briefing is to present the latest research and findings on illicit trade from a global and EU perspective. The aim is to improve the knowledge and understanding of the regulatory environment and economic circumstances that enable illicit trade. Participants will be invited to explore policy priorities and identify areas that merit greater attention.

This event will be a unique opportunity to learn and exchange views on public policy with experts and stakeholders from governments, law enforcement and businesses as well as to share insights and recommendations on steps that can be taken to strengthen legislative and enforcement measures to combat illicit trade.
