A man said to be at the centre of a Kurdish gang running an illegal tobacco business has had his sentencing adjourned, pending an appeal.
Arifi Ahmedi appeared alongside Shaida Abdulrahman and Morad Zadah at Teesside Magistrates’ Court in December for their alleged roles in the operation, which saw Teesside flooded with potentially deadly cigarettes.
