The West District RCMP arrested a man following a seizure of over 180,000 illegal cigarettes in Prince William, N.B.
On July 6, 2018, at approximately 10:20 a.m., police received a report of a vehicle in a ditch off the Trans-Canada Highway in Prince William. Police discovered and seized over 180,000 contraband cigarettes located in the trunk and back of the car.
A 43-year-old man from Moncton was arrested at the scene and later released on a promise to appear in court at a later date.
The investigation is continuing.
