Quang Ninh police successfully destroyed a hidden the counterfeit cigarettes processing plants in the eucalyptus forest mountains and seized 2.1 million counterfeit cigarettes and counterfeiting equipment group, with a value of 515 million yuan.
Some time ago, the police in the remote area received a report that, when investigated, resulted in their finding evidence of a counterfeit cigarette factory. They quickly reported the information to the county Public Security Bureau County Tobacco Monopoly Bureau.
On the night of October 25, the Quang Ninh county police in conjunction with the local Tobacco Monopoly Bureau, a total of 50 people, formed a coalition of law enforcement raids teams to take advantage of the night cigarette counterfeiting factory.
To not to arouse suspicions at the geographically isolated plant, the joint law enforcement officers left their vehicle and walked up the hill, a trek of nearly 3 kilometers of mountain road to the counterfeiting site. There, they seized counterfeit cigarettes of various brands, as well as a cigarette rolling machines, diesel generator sets, 1400 pounds of smoking tobacco, tipping paper, filter rods, as well as a large number of the other counterfeiting of raw and auxiliary materials, with a total value of 5.15 million yuan.
