Provincial inspectors will be back on Belleville’s streets again Friday for the second day of a two-day commercial vehicle blitz.
City and provincial police officers joined inspectors of Ontario’s transportation, environment and finance ministries in an extensive series of inspections of commercial vehicles. Such blitzes are at least an annual occurrence.

Inspectors looked for a wide range of infractions, including mechanical and emissions problems. They also checked for contraband cigarettes and the use of properly-taxed fuel.
