A New York man made the mistake of telling police what crime he intended to commit — smuggling cigarettes — beforehand, according to Washington County District Court documents.
Istavan Attila Nemeth, 69, of Sunnyside, N.Y., was charged this week by agents of the Maryland Comptroller’s Office with possession and transport of untaxed cigarettes.
