Untaxed cigarettes sold at Stop and Go Deli Express, state inspectors charge

The owner of a Peekskill deli has been charged with felony counts of tax fraud and possession of counterfeit tax stamps after state inspectors said they discovered untaxed cigarettes in the establishment.

Sultan Ahmed Mosleh Ali, 28, was charged June 25 after inspectors with the state Department of Taxation and Finance visited the Stop and Go Deli Express at 730 South St. Inspectors said they found 159 packages of cigarettes with counterfeit tax stamps.
