STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – An enforcement sweep at delis and bodegas across Staten Island Thursday netted city officials two felony arrests and thousands of packs of untaxed cigarettes.
The sting, which involved about 50 deputy sheriffs and investigators from the city Sheriff’s Office, targeted 40 stores on Staten Island.
