Riverdale police seize over 700 cigarette cartons

The suspects had conflicting stories about their travels, and further investigation revealed 723 cartons in the car as well as a counterfeit $20 and $10 bill that the driver, Rafael Santos, 59, had in his possession, police said.
None of the cigarette cartons contained tax stamps, and U.S. Treasury Department investigations considered that this was a large shipment, according to MacIntosh.
