FedEx urged a New York federal judge on Monday to kill a request by New York city and state prosecutors to merge two cases against the parcel carrier over alleged illegal shipments of untaxed cigarettes from Native American reservations, saying that the cases are on different schedules and that consolidation would cause long delays.
