Madrid. “Two of the illegal cigarette production factories, which were busted in Spain few days ago, used entirely Bulgarian equipment.” This is what Senior Commissioner Ivaylo Spiridonov, Director of the General Directorate for Fight against Organised Crime (GDBOP), announced speaking for the Horizont public radio.
The workers in the illegal factories were former employees of the cigarette factories in the Bulgarian cities of Plovdiv, Pazardzhik and Pleven, the Bulgarian National Radio (BNR) announced. Only at one of the factories busted in the joint operation of Bulgaria’s GDBOP and the Spanish services the authorities found equipment worth nearly EUR 7 million.
