Cornwall Regional Task Force Seizes Over 1,500 Kilograms of Tobacco in One Week

Four people, including at least two Quebecers were arrested after police seized more that 1,500 kilograms of contraband tobacco.

On Aug. 4, Police spotted the boat heading east on the St.Lawrence river heading coming from the area near Lancaster, Ontario. The boat came ashore at Rivière-Beaudette in Quebec, just east of Ontario, and the two men were seen unloading garbage bags, that police believed to be full on fine cut tobacco.
