And the unregulated cigarettes’ quality is also highly suspect — with bird poo among the additional nasties inside the smokes.
“(We’ve found) traces of metal shavings, bird droppings and other chemicals, so while smoking is a health hazard … these counterfeit cigarettes increase that risk,” Australian Border Force NSW/ACT Regional Commander Tim Fitzgerald said.
