The Codiac Regional RCMP has seized approximately 350 thousand contraband cigarettes.
The contraband tobacco was discovered after a vehicle was impounded following a routine traffic stop on the Gunningsville Bridge between Moncton and Riverview on January 10, 2017. After impound, tobacco was discovered in the vehicle and also on a trailer being towed by the car.
The Codiac Regional RCMP is now investigating, with assistance from the RCMP in New Brunswick’s Federal Operations.
