Two Isipingo police officers are behind bars – after they were allegedly found escorting a vehicle carrying counterfeit cigarettes in Hluhluwe, in northern KZN.

Police spokesperson, Jay Naicker, says the 50 and 54 year-old officers were in an unmarked official vehicle on the N2 – escorting a Toyota Hilux with two suspects inside, that contained a load of cigarettes – said to be worth R180 000.
Naicker says the two cops are with the Durban Vehicle Identification Section.
