WHEN Michael Ibrahim organises multimillion-dollar drug importations, he likes to do so in an extravagant Thai villa, court documents allege. The Daily Telegraph can reveal that Michael and his brothers John and Fadi holidayed in the ritzy $4000-anight Phuket villa in November last year, where Michael allegedly discussed with an associate how to smuggle more drugs into Australia. A police statement of facts outlines how an informant known as MW1 stayed with Michael Ibrahim and his family at the swanky Villa Baan Santisuk to discuss future “shifty” business.

And the police statement alleges Michael Ibrahim boasted he was able to afford the luxurious Thailand getaway by using the profits he had made from importing illegal tobacco. “Michael Ibrahim expressed his desire to conduct more transactions of smuggled tobacco in the future as he gets a thrill from the ‘shifty’ sales,” the police statement claims.
