Two men from Salaberry-de-Valleyfield were arrested last week in the region of South Glengarry, in Ontario, while they were in possession of more than a ton of contraband tobacco.
In the evening of 20 November, the police patrol along the shore have noticed suspicious activity.
“They saw what seemed to be an exchange of handbags between the occupants of a boat and people on shore. While the boat was leaving the area, investigators have observed individuals drop the bags in a van Ford Econoline”, have informed the authorities in a press release.
