A subdivision of the Dutch police with trained eagles was disbanded
A little more than a year there was a division of the Dutch police, using trained eagles for the interception of drones . Birds will be transferred to other owners, and the program is collapsed. This decision was made for two reasons: firstly, the need for eagles was exaggerated; secondly, they were not effective enough.

In addition, the Dutch police stop the pilot program, which was intended to use rats to search for human remains, counterfeit cigarettes and fireworks. According to the police, the rodents failed to achieve “working capacity”.
