Illegal Tobacco Factory Dismantled by Law Enforcement Officers in Lubelskie, Poland

3.5 tonnes of tobacco and equipment for its processing were secured by customs and tax services and police officers of the Central Investigation Bureau during the joint liquidation of the illegal local and tobacco warehouse in Lublin. Three people were charged with, among others excise tax.

In the opinion of the services, protected tobacco could be used for illegal production and it could have produced at least 3.5 million cigarettes. The proceedings in this case are carried out by the Lublin Customs and Tax Office under the supervision of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Lublin.

Recently, KAS, analyzing data on cigarette smuggling in the past year, recently pointed out that the way criminal groups smuggling cigarettes across Poland to the eastern border is changing.
