The committee charged with assuring cloud computing services meet federal cyber standards under the FedRAMP program will have seven broad responsibilities.

The Joint Authorization Board, or JAB, issued its charter yesterday detailing how it would work.

The JAB is made up of chief information officers of the departments of Defense and Homeland Security and the General Services Administration.

Among the JAB’s responsibilities are to update FedRAMP security requirements, approve third-party assessment organizations and establish a list of cloud services to be reviewed first.
