The “Risk Self-Assessment Tool: What’s In It for You?”

On April 4, 2012, the Department will host a 60-minute interactive Webinar about the Risk Self-Assessment Tool for the Commercial Facilities Sector. The Webinar provides up-to-date information about the tool for infrastructure owners and operators as well as government partners. Panelists will present Federal and private sector perspectives on the development of the tool, how it works, and how their facilities have benefited from its use.

The Risk Self-Assessment Tool is a free, easy-to-use Web-based tool created by the Department, in partnership with the private sector, to deliver an all-hazards relative risk assessment for commercial facility owners and operators. When combined with a facility’s specific characteristics (such as usage, size, capacity), the threat analysis and consequence estimate generated by the tool helps owners and operators identify and prioritize where security measures, procedures, or staff training might be needed – thereby helping managers put their security resources to better use.

To better understand how completing a risk self-assessment can increase the security profile and resilience of your facility, register today for “The Risk Self-Assessment Tool: What’s In It for You?” Webinar, presented live April 4, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. (EST).
