FERC’s unclassified cybersecurity programme – 2015

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission – an independent agency within the Department of Energy – was established to regulate major aspects of the Nation’s wholesale electric, natural gas, hydroelectric, and oil pipeline industries.

FERC’s information technology infrastructure must be dependable and resilient to support its missions. To that end, officials noted that they received approximately US$2.5 million in fiscal year 2015 to secure FERC’s unclassified systems and information.
