VA’s information security still lacking, audit shows

Information security flaws persist at the Veterans Affairs Department, according to a new audit.

In studying the agency’s fiscal 2015 compliance with the Federal Information Security Modernization Act, or FISMA, VA inspectors general found deficiencies in eight areas and made 35 recommendations, according to the audit (pdf), released March 15.
