Hornell, N.Y. In a call with reporters on Wednesday, U.S. Sen. Charles E. Schumer revealed the growing danger of foreign computer hackers who have taken aim at Upstate NY municipal governments, schools and hospitals.

In taking the first steps, Schumer has penned a letter proposing a three-part plan which includes, urging the Administration and the NIST, which is running the Commission on Enhancing National Cybersecurity, to focus on ransomware in order to find solutions to these malicious attacks.
