About 100 technology professionals gathered Tuesday at the new WeWork space uptown to hear experts discuss cybersecurity threats and the potential for regulatory technology to help protect businesses and their data.
The event brought together key players in the Charlotte fintech community. Patrick Rivenbark, with fintech research company MEDICI, moderated the panel, which included: Allen O’Rourke, attorney for Womble Carlyle; James Barham, chief commercial officer for London-based PCI Pal; Alexandra O’Rourke, attorney for McGuireWoods; Sam Taussig, head of global policy and community banking for Kabbage; and Samantha Smith, vice president of customer experience for Charlotte-based Virtual StrongBox.
