Dr. Rebecca Blank, Deputy Secretary of Commerce, emphasized the central role of industry best practices and industry partnerships in developing the Cybersecurity Framework called for by President Obama’s Executive Order on Cybersecurity, 13636.
The need for global coordination of critical infrastructure cyberdefeneses was also highlighted in the Workshop with an emphasis on Transatlantic regulatory coordination. CRE will be providing a Regulatory Watchdog’s perspective on Transatlantic Cybersecurity Regulatory Coordination at the United States-European Union High-Level Regulatory Cooperation
Forum on April 10-11.
