The office of innovative technology services and solutions at the General Services Administration (GSA) is seeking permission from OMB to continue collecting data on more than 7,000 federal Information Technology (IT) investments.

Of these, approximately 800 investments are classified as “major” by the agencies that are implementing them, says a notice published by GSA in the Federal Register on June 17.

GSA refers to this data collection as the “IT Dashboard Feedback Mechanism.”

It is soliciting comments from the public about the burden and benefits of this information-gathering project. When it last publicized this effort in February, no comments were submitted. The public can now submit comments until July 17 by visiting www.regulations.gov and citing “Information Collection 3090-0285, IT Dashboard Feedback Mechanism.”

GSA estimates that it will receive input from approximately 1,000 agency respondents each year. The data that most agencies will use is drawn from their Exhibit 53 and 300 submissions, says the GSA notice.
