Cyber Security and Risk Management Training Workshop

NIST FISMA Project leader, Ron Ross, will be presenting at the Federal Computer Security Program Managers’ Forum August 8th meeting which is open to the public.  You must be a US citizen to attend.

In the morning sessions, Dr. Ross will present on the Risk Management Framework and on the fundamentals of continuous monitoring as detailed in NIST Special Publication 800-53 Rev 4, Security and Privacy Controls for Federal Information Systems and Organizations. The afternoon sessions will be a series of agency-led panels designed to offer implementation tips and techniques for implementing the Risk Management Framework in a practical and meaningful way.

Name badges will be distributed in the lobby starting at 8:00am. Kevin Stine will open the workshop at 9:00am with concluding remarks from 4:15-4:30pm.
