Intel chairman Rogers warns FCC over cyber regulation

House Intelligence Chairman Mike Rogers (R-MI) on Monday sought to forcefully insert himself into the Federal Communications Commission’s cybersecurity initiative, challenging FCC Chairman Thomas Wheeler over perceived threats to regulate the sector.

Rogers, in a letter to the FCC chairman, questioned Wheeler’s assertions that the FCC can impose regulations if an industry-driven initiative fails to deliver.
