President Obama has officially nominated Loretta Lynch to be his next attorney general. The broadcasters filed the opening brief in their lawsuit against the FCC’s spectrum auction plan. Ro Khanna conceded to Rep. Mike Honda, marking a disappointment to the tech community that had invested heavily in the challenger’s campaign. And investors are getting worried that regulatory approval of Comcast’s merger with Time Warner Cable might not be such a sure bet.

When Obama announced Lynch’s nomination at the White House, he praised her for “aggressively” fighting cybercrime. One of her biggest cases was the prosecution of a massive bank heist in which the hackers allegedly stole $45 million from ATMs in 27 countries. She also expanded her office’s national security practice to include cybersecurity.
