Good Morning. CIOs, for the most part, welcome the Obama administration’s effort (more on that below) to use the force of law to address growing concerns about cybersecurity. “At the end of the day, the government has got to become more involved in cybersecurity. What Obama is doing is welcomed by all CIOs,” Shawn Wiora, CIO and CISO of health care provider Creative Solutions in Healthcare LLC told CIO Journal.
Still, some CIOs, such as Aaron Weis of Axalta Coating Systems Ltd. and Gail Roper of City of Raleigh, North Carolina, wonder if details, such as a proposed rule that would require companies to notify customers of a breach within 30 days, will be difficult to implement.
