NMFS Seeks Comment on Proposed Caltrans Seismic IHA

The U.S. National Marine Fisheries Service has received an application from California State Department of Transportation for an Incidental Harassment Authorization to take marine mammals, by harassment, incidental to Murray Street Bridge seismic retrofit project in Santa Cruz, California.

Pursuant to the Marine Mammal Protection Act, NMFS is requesting comments on its proposal to issue an IHA to Caltrans to incidentally take, by Level B Harassment only, marine mammals during the specified activity. Comments and information must be received no later than January 11, 2016.
