This Interactive Public Docket (IPD) allows policy officials, along with their colleagues in a number of venues, to read the views of the public on a pending regulatory issue on a 24/7 basis, including comments made subsequent to the close of the public comment period for a proposed rule. The IPD is managed by the Center for Regulatory Effectiveness (CRE), an organization founded by former regulatory officials of the White House Office of Management and Budget and functions as a regulatory watchdog. CRE IPD’s are visited regularly by federal regulators, Congressional staff , judicial staff, non-government organizations and the press.
