International Chamber of Commerce Responds to ICANNfocus.org
The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) has responded to an ICANNfocus.org story concerning a proposal by a senior member of the organization calling for substantial U.N. influence over ICANN. In their response, the ICC disagree with a number of points in the ICANNfocus.org. Among the points raised by the ICC was that the "high ranking" ICC member was actually acting on his own initiative in presenting the proposal, a fact not originally noted on the ICC website. In their rejoinder to ICANNfocus' response, the ICC highlight a number of issues regarding internet governance that are worthy of deeper discussion.
