Sirius Radio: They Know How to Dis Seniors

Jim  Tozzi

To those of our readers who have anything to do with buying or selling stock or the regulation of broadcasters please take note.

Sirius Radio has discontinued a very popular channel dealing with the music of the forties. Of course that is their prerogative and obviously in their mind seniors do not have the buying clout of others.

But to add insult to injury to claim that the replacement show, the music of Billy Joel, is going off line in three months and the forties music is returning  is somewhat demeaning since that will not occur unless there is a protest by seniors.

More so is the Sirius  statement that seniors can listen to streaming done via mobile phones. Really?

Out of nearly one thousand channels the Senior’s channel is usually the one taken off line for some new endeavor.

It is Sirius’s  choice  to make but seniors will demand more than being treated as simpletons.
