Chronology of Regulatory Review in OMB

The framework for OMB review of agency regulations began in the late 60's. An index of the internal OMB papers are contained in this collection of documents. A review of this index provides a comprehensive list of the issues addressed in establishing a central regulatory review process in OMB. Some of the papers are presented on this website; the remainder of the papers are described in the indexed papers below. These original documents have been given to CRE by Jim Tozzi.
