Shelanski Approval Nearing Confirmation
Howard Shelanski, President Obama’s nominee to be the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA) administrator at the White House’s Office of Management and Budget (OMB), cleared the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee June 25 by a unanimous vote. …….
The nomination will now go to the full Senate for consideration, and Shelanski could get a full Senate vote before the July 4 recess, along with other Obama nominations. Shelanski was nominated in April to fill the seat vacated by Cass Sunstein
