Feds Consider Quantum Computing Regulation
A FACA committee established by the Commerce Department met November 9-10 to consider regulation of quantum computing. The committee heard a presentation by IBM on the current and likely future state of quantum computing. Development of practicable quantum computers in the US will raise foreign access, competition and national security issues. The committee is named the Information Systems Technical Advisory Committee.
