EPA Publishes Final Nano White Paper
The US Environmental Protection Agency has announced the public availability of EPA’s final Nanotechnology White Paper. Nanotechnology is the understanding and control of matter at dimensions of roughly 1 to 100 nanometers. At this level, non-classical physical properties and laws often apply.

The purposes of EPA’s Nano White Paper are to inform EPA management of the science issues and needs associated with nanotechnology, to support related EPA program office needs, and to communicate these nanotechnology science issues and needs to stakeholders and the public.

EPA took public comment and conducted peer review of drafts before producing the final Nano White Paper.
