EPA Supplements Ozone NAAQS Record

On January 4, 2008, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced that it has supplemented the record for EPA’s review of the national ambient air quality standards for ozone. The new information is a memorandum from Abt Associates, Inc. dated November 27, 2007, and entitled "Additional Tables: Non-accidental Mortality and Lung Function Responses Associated with O3 Concentrations that Just Meet the Current and Alternative 8-hour Daily Maximum Standards."

This memorandum is now available to the public. EPA intends the memorandum to supplement its previously prepared “Ozone Health Risk Assessment for Selected Urban Areas.” This document is the primary risk assessment for EPA’s Ozone NAAQS review.
