EPA Seeks Comment On Retrospective Review Of Its Regulations
President Obama's Executive Order 13563 is entitled, "Improving Regulation and Regulatory Review.'' It requires all Federal agencies to conduct a "retrospective analysis of rules that may be outmoded, ineffective, insufficient, or excessively burdensome and to modify, streamline, expand, or repeal them in accordance with what has been learned.'' Pursuant to this Order, EPA is seeking public input on the design of a plan to use for periodic retrospective review of its regulations.

In order to be considered by EPA, comments must be received on or before March 20, 2011.

A public meeting on this review will be held on March 14, 2011 in Arlington, VA.

EPA requests comments on a long list of questions, organized by subject area. These questions are asked in EPA's Federal Register notice of its retrospective review.
