BOEM Seeks Comment on EIS and Sales for Eastern GOM
On November 18, 2011, the U.S. Bureau of Ocean Energy Management published Federal Register notice calling for Information and Nominations in a multi-sale process covering all lease sales in the Eastern Planning Area in the Gulf of Mexico. Theses lease sales will be included in the OCS Oil and Gas Leasing Program for 2012-2017. At the same time, BOEM announced its intent to prepare a multi-sale EIS covering these lease sales. Information and Nominations submitted in response to the Call must be received by BOEM no later than December 19, 2011. Comments on the EIS NOI must be received no later than January 3, 2012.
