OMB and CMS Seek Comment on ObamaCare ICR
OMB and The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services seek public comment on a new Paperwork Reduction Act Information Collection Request, which is necessary to implement the Affordable Care Act. This ICR is entitled: Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act; Exchange Functions: Eligibility for Exemptions; Miscellaneous Minimum Essential Coverage Provisions. CMS says that the data collection and reporting requirements covered by this ICR are critical to the basic ability of state Exchanges to determine eligibility for and issue certificates of exemption, and that they will also assist Exchanges, HHS, and IRS in ensuring program integrity and quality improvement. OMB must receive comments on this ICR by November 15, 2013.
