President's Infrastructure Plan Includes Federal Permitting Process Changes
On February 13, 2018, President Trump unveiled his "Administration's framework for rebuilding infrastructure in America." Part 3 of this Plan is devoted to "Infrastructure Permitting Improvement." Among many other changes, the Plan "Require[s] a Single Environmental Review Document and a Single Record of DecisionCoordinated by the Lead Agency." The Plan also seeks legislative and regulatory changes designed to facilitate and speed permitting under various environmental and other federal statutes.
