EPA Seeks comment on Proposed Transparency Rule
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency seeks comment on a proposed regulation intended to strengthen thetransparency of EPA regulatory science.The proposed regulation provides thatwhen EPA develops regulations,including regulations for which thepublic is likely to bear the cost ofcompliance, with regard to thosescientific studies that are pivotal to theaction being taken, EPA should ensurethat the data underlying those arepublicly available in a manner sufficient for independent validation. EPA must receive any comments on this proposed regulation on or before May 30, 2018.
