OMB 2004 annual report to Congress on FY 2003 Data Quality petitions

CEI petition on global climate change
The Competitive Enterprise Institute petitioned the Office of Science and Technology Policy, as lead agency in the U.S. Global Change Research Program, to withdraw the National Assessment on Climate Change because it is based on flawed and selective models and was not peer reviewed. OSTP responded that that the Assessment was not information subject to the Data Quality Act and that it had not adopted the Assessment. When OSTP did not respond to a CEI request for reconsideration within 60 days, CEI filed suit against OSTP and the President in federal district court.
